Christmas Newsletter 2009
back
Dear Parents,

It seems impossible that Christmas is almost upon us. The autumn term has really flown by – and what a busy term it has been with over 6 hours of RAD Examinations! I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the children who took examinations in June on their success. Well done!

There is some really exciting news for next year. We shall be staging another concert at The Corn Exchange in Witney. The concert will take place on Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 March with both matinee and evening performances. The concert will involve all pupils from Pre-Primary upwards. If anyone is unable to take part then please let me know as soon as possible as we shall start buying costumes very soon. Nearer the time I shall be asking parents if they could provide assistance at one of the performances with front of house or backstage duties. This will be the fourth concert we have staged and they have all proved to be great fun and a wonderful experience for the children. There will be more details next term, meanwhile, please make sure you’ve got the date in your 2010 diaries!

Please could I remind you to ensure your daughter’s hair is plaited, put in a bun or pulled back in a pony tail for all classes. Regarding uniform, children must wear a cross over cardigan as it is impossible to see the line of the body under t-shirts or school sweaters. RAD regulation uniform is available for purchase from us as uniform purchased from retail outlets may not always comply with the strict RAD examination regulations.

Please could all grade 3 and above pupils ensure they arrive in class with their shoes tied, ready to begin lessons. We are loosing valuable class time waiting for pupils to finish dressing.

The dates and times for lessons next term are on the attached sheet. Please note that some classes have changed time and all grade 4 and above classes are one hour long. Saturday pupils will miss one lesson due to our concert therefore fees have been reduced accordingly.

Please feel you can ring me anytime if there is any aspect of your child’s ballet lessons that you wish to discuss. Finally may I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing everyone again after a well deserved Christmas break!
