Summer Newsletter 2004

Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new pupils that have joined us this term.  I hope you are all enjoying lessons at The Windrush School of Ballet.

Watching Day
The last lesson of term is designated as “watching day” where parents and relatives are invited to sit-in and watch their child’s ballet class. Watching Day takes place on Monday 4, Thursday 7 and Friday 8 July.

RAD Examinations & Presentations
Next term looks like being very busy as we have 48 pupils who will be offered the opportunity to take a Royal Academy of Dance examination or presentation. The parents of these children will receive a further letter before the end of term with full details.

Lost Property
Please name your child’s clothing. I have several items of lost property that have not been claimed and I would love to re-unite them with their rightful owners!

Hair
Please could parents ensure that their child’s hair is tied back in a pony tail, plaits or a bun for all ballet classes.

Concert in the Corn Exchange
Many of you will remember our concert in the Corn Exchange last year called Let’s Face the Music and Dance.  I am planning another show in the spring term of 2006. I will give you more details about this exciting project next term when we shall be starting rehearsals.

Dates and Fees
Next term will be 11 weeks long. The fees are given on the attached sheet, these should be paid within the first two weeks of term. The dates for next term are as follows: for Monday pupils, terms starts on Monday 12 September with the last lesson on Monday 28 November; for Tuesday pupils, term starts on Tuesday 13 September and the last lesson is on Tuesday 29 November; for Friday pupils, term starts on Friday 16 September and the last lesson is on Friday 2 December. There will be no lessons during half term week on Monday 24 October, Tuesday 25 October and Friday 28 October.

I look forward to seeing everyone again in the autumn.
