Dear Parents,

What an exciting term we’ve had with all the RAD Examinations and having to battle through the snow to get to lessons! I would like to give a very warm welcome to all our new pupils and their parents; we hope you are all enjoying your ballet classes.

The autumn term examinations were very successful with all of the candidates gaining merits or distinctions. Well done to the children for all their hard work which led to these excellent results.

Some of the children have asked to have a second lesson each week. If you are interested in extra lessons then please remember we have at least two classes each week for most grades. Please see Angela for more details.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Liza every success as she begins her Royal Academy of Dance teacher’s course. In addition to learning how to teach all the various grades, the syllabus includes anatomy and the history of dance. At some point she will also have to teach in front of a panel of RAD examiners. Good luck Liza!

I am sorry about the limited amount of room for changing and waiting at Davenport Road, however food and drink are not allowed to be eaten in the church itself. There is a lovely field where the children can play while waiting when the weather improves.

Please remember you can ring me at any time if there is anything you would like to discuss about your children’s ballet. I am usually available in the morning or late evenings after 9pm. If I am not at home then please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.

I wish you all a very Happy Easter and I look forward to seeing you all next term.

Patricia Clapton
