Dear Parents,
We have enjoyed an extremely busy term preparing for five hours worth of examination sessions at the end of March. All the children have been working very hard and are looking forward to progressing up a grade. There will be further examination sessions next term in June. If these apply to your child you will find details attached to this newsletter.
Please could I remind you to ensure your daughter’s hair is plaited, put in a bun or pulled back in a pony tail for all classes. As you know, this is the accepted hair style of the ballet dancer and is part of the discipline of this art form. In addition it enables one to see the children’s faces and necks.
It will also help the smooth running of the lessons if you would check your child’s toilet requirements before the start of class.
The fees and dates for next term are given on the attached sheet. Fees should be paid within the first two weeks of term. Please note that there are no lessons in half term which is week beginning Monday 28 May. There will also be no lessons on Saturday 16 June due to examinations, nor on bank holiday Monday 7 May. These missed lessons will be made up at the end of term
For the first time in several years I have reluctantly been forced to increase the fees. This is due to the increasing cost of hall hire and insurance.
If you have access to the internet then you may find our website a useful resource. This contains information about ballet classes and the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations and Presentations as well as pictures from our concerts. The website address is given above.
Finally may I wish you all a very Happy Easter and I look forward to seeing everyone again after a well deserved break.

Dear Parents,
If you would like your daughter to enter the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Grade 2 Examination it will require her to attend extra coaching classes.
These will take place at Ceewood hall in Tower Hill on Saturday mornings from 9.15am – 10.00am, starting on 21 April and lasting for 7 weeks. The cost of these classes will be £30.00. Please note that this is in addition to the RAB Examination Entrance Fee of £37.00.
Ceewood hall does not have a car park however there is ample street parking nearby. Please note that the car park next to the hall belongs to the public house - please do not use this car park.
If your daughter would not like to take the Examination or is unable to attend the extra lessons then they may still enter the RAD Presentation Class. This does not require any extra lessons and the cost will be simply the RAD entrance fee of £32.00.
If your daughter would like to enter the Examination or the Presentation Class then please return the appropriate form to Angela as soon as possible and in any case no later than 28 April.
Dear Parents,
I am sorry but there will be no Monday Pre-Primary class after Easter due to the fact that the Youth Centre is unable to accommodate any additional hours.
There are two other Pre-Primary classes: Tuesday at 4.00pm at Ceewood Hall and Saturday morning at 10.00amm, also at Ceewood Hall.
Please confirm with Angela which class your daughter would like to attend by 24 March.
Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience.
