Dear Parents,

The end of term is here again! It has been a very happy term and all pupils have progressed well.

During the summer term there will be Royal Academy of Dance Examination Sessions. The Friday grade 5 class and some pre-primary pupils will have the opportunity to enter the Presentation Classes. These will take place on Saturday 2 July and there is further information below for those concerned.

The next term will be 11 weeks long. The fees are given on this page, these should be paid within the first two weeks of term. The dates for next term are as follows: for Tuesday pupils, terms starts on Tuesday 19 April with the last lesson on Tuesday 5 July; for Thursday pupils, term starts on Thursday 21 April and the last lesson is on Thursday 7 July; for Friday pupils, term starts on Friday 22 April and the last lesson is on Friday 8 July. There will be no lessons during half term week on Tuesday 31 May, Thursday 2 June and Friday 3 June.

It would be of great help if you could name your child’s clothing. I have several items of lost property that have not been claimed and I would love to re-unite them with their rightful owners! Please could parents ensure that their daughter’s hair is tied back in a pony tail, plaits or a bun for all ballet classes.

I look forward to seeing everyone again after the Easter break.

Royal Academy of Dance Presentations

The next Royal Academy of Dance Presentations have been scheduled to take place on Saturday 2 July at Summertown Church Hall.

The fee for the presentation is £32.00 for grade 5 pupils and £25.00 for Pre-Primary pupils. This fee includes the examiner, pianist, hall hire and administrative costs involved with running these presentations. Each child will receive a certificate confirming they have reached the RAD standard for this level.

If you would like your child to take part, please return the attached form together with a cheque for the fees by Friday 8 April. Unfortunately the RAD will not accept late entries, not will it refund the entry fee for children who have entered but cannot attend the presentation. Please print your child’s Christian and surname clearly on the entry form as this information will be used on the certificate.

Full details will be provided nearer the time to all those who have entered this presentation.
