Dear Parents
We hope that you have had a very enjoyable Christmas and are now looking forward to the new term, which will be very busy because, of course, it is showtime!
There will be a rehearsal day on Sunday 13th March, and performances on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of March, therefore our term will finish that weekend. The start of term will be Monday, 4th January but, with the half term week, this will only give us ten weeks in which to prepare for the show. Ideally, I would like to have the full eleven weeks for rehearsal and the only way to do this would be to work normal classes over the half-term week, which is from 15th to 19th February. This would also save us having to have an extra week during the following summer term. Could you let me know as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend during the half-week term so that I can decide whether it is feasible to run classes that week. If only a few children are unable to attend, we will adjust their fees to ten weeks for the spring term.
We are awaiting the examination results for those children who took them in the Autumn term, and wish them good luck. We did have a standardisation examiner who was examining the examiner this time!! This could have been quite daunting for the children but they all coped exceedingly well.
If you still have any outstanding fees, could you please send a cheque, with immediate effect, made out to Windrush School of Ballet to 14 Heath Lane, Bladon, Oxford, OX20 1SB or you can pay via bank transfer at:
Natwest sort code: 55-81-35
Windrush School of Ballet account number: 89001389
I look forward to seeing you all again next term.
Best wishes
Pat Clapton
