Dear Parents

We have had a very busy term, which culminated in the workshop on the 7th December and our exams that have just taken place.  We wish all our candidates good luck and we will inform them of their results as soon as we receive them.  I would like to extend congratulations to those children who took their exams in July as we had outstanding results with a record number of distinctions and high merits.

There are some important changes to the timetable next term because of the forthcoming show at Henry Box School, as follows:

There will be no pre-school class at Hailey on Mondays and the pre-school class at Davenport Road will now be from 2.15 to 2.45pm.  We are hoping to introduce a second pre-school class at Davenport Road after the February half-term to run from 3.15 to 3.45pm, depending on numbers interested.  The two classes will hopefully accommodate those children who are at pre-school or have older siblings who need collecting from school at 3pm.

There will be no primary class at Davenport Road on Mondays.

There will only be one primary class on Saturdays and the lessons from Grade 1 to Grade 4 have moved forward by 45 minutes.  The Grade 4 class will now be for one hour.

The Friday Grade 4 class at Hailey has moved to Ceewood Hall.

All the above changes are listed on the attached timetable along with a few other minor adjustments, so please check carefully for your classes.

All children from pre-primary upwards will take part in the show at Henry Box School on the 5th and 6th April, but the pre-primary and primary children will only be in one of the three performances - parents of those children will be given priority for tickets for the performance that involves their child.  There will be rehearsals during classes next term and we will be holding two rehearsals at Henry Box School on Sunday 30th March and the Friday evening of the 4th April.  You will be notified nearer the date as to the actual time that your child will be needed for rehearsals.  We will again require help on rehearsal and performance days at Henry Box and Liza will be sending you a form to complete in due course.  Parents of pre-primary and primary children are not expected to help, as they will hopefully be watching the one performance that their child is in, but if any parent from this group would like to help at one of the other performances, we would be very grateful.  Tickets for the show will be available from Monday 24th February and will need to be paid for when received, as we cannot reserve tickets.

If you have not yet paid your fees for the autumn term could you please do so with immediate effect, unless you have already made prior arrangements.  If anyone has any difficulties regarding payment of fees, please do speak to us, as there are always ways to accommodate you.

We hope you have a very happy Christmas and come back refreshed and full of enthusiasm for the spring term and the show.

Best wishes.
