Summer Term Newsletter

Dear Parents

Here we are at the end of another school year that has flown by, especially this last term when we had over 50 children taking examinations at the end of June – we are eagerly awaiting those results.

Congratulations to all pupils who took their exams in March – they all did extremely well and we are very proud of them.

Next term we will be starting on work for the show at the Corn Exchange in Witney on the 17th and 18th of March 2012.  This is always good fun for the children who really look forward to it.  We will also be running the Copellia workshop that was postponed from last term.  This will take place on 10th December 2011 – full details will be sent out nearer the time.

We have tried very hard not to increase fees over the past few years, but with the rise in petrol, hall hire, etc, it has now become necessary to do so as from September.  This increase has been kept to the very minimum of 25p per lesson, which means an increase of £2.75 per term for all classes.  Could we please request that fees are paid during the first two weeks of term, when Carol will be available at all lessons.  If you have more than one child attending lessons we are happy for the fees to be split between the two half-terms.

The new timetable and fees are attached – please note that the term will start on Saturday 10th September.  This is because we need to fit in exams and the Copellia workshop during the term and still have eleven Saturdays left for lessons.  You will be notified which Saturday is being used for exams once we have the date.

We wish to you all a very happy and relaxing summer and look forward to seeing you all again in September.

Best wishes.

Pat Clapton
