Dear Parents
Again we have reached the end of another full ballet year. It has been a very busy term with so many examination entrants and we wish all our candidates good luck.
Congratulations to all the girls who passed their exams in the spring term. We attended the examination feedback and it has been made very clear that the standard for the new syllabus is much higher and the work far more technical than before. The Royal Academy of Dance has suggested a minimum of 70 hours learning for Grades 1 to 3, 95 hours for Grades 4 to 6 and 130 hours for Grade 6 and above. Despite the hard work, our pupils are finding this syllabus much more enjoyable and are rising to the challenge.
We will be holding another ballet workshop with Michael Berkin on Saturday, 7th December. More details regarding this will be available nearer the time.
We now have firm dates for our next show at Henry Box School. This will take place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April next year. This is the weekend directly following the last day of the spring term, but schools do not go back until 22nd April, which still leaves just over two weeks for holiday bookings if necessary. There will also be a full day rehearsal at Henry Box School on Sunday 30th March, so please keep these dates free. The show will be for all pupils from pre-primary stage upwards although pre-primary and primary classes will only appear in one of the three shows.
If you have not yet paid your fees, please could you do so with immediate effect. This can be by cheque to me at 14 Heath Lane, Bladon, Oxford, OX20 1SB or by bank transfer to:

We hope the you all have a very enjoyable summer holiday.
