Dear Parents

Firstly, thank you all very much for a first-class show.  The children performed beautifully and we were more than pleased with the quality of help received from the parents – without your help these shows would not be possible.  After all the problems with the Corn Exchange, luckily Henry Box turned out to be a really good venue, and the school was very accommodating.  We noticed that after the show the children all had lots of renewed interest and enthusiasm during their lessons.

We have examinations coming up on the 14th July and wish all our entrants good luck.  We have new Grade 1, 2 and 3 syllabuses that the children seem to be enjoying very much.  The new syllabus will mean a change in the uniform colour – this will be turquoise for Grades 1 and 2 and mulberry for Grades 3 and 4.  This will be a gradual change as children outgrow their current uniforms or progress to the next grade, so there is no need to worry about buying new uniform straightaway.  If you haven’t already seen them, we do have a new range of Windrush School of Ballet sweatshirts and t-shirts for sale.  These are priced at £7 and £10 for the t-shirts, and £15 and £18 for the sweatshirts, depending on size.

Next term we are holding a workshop on 8th December.  This time it will be Sleeping Beauty.  Those children who took part in the Coppelia workshop will remember what a great day it was, and hopefully will join us for this one.  There will be more details regarding the day nearer the time.

Please note that term will commence on Saturday, 8th September.  This is to accommodate the workshop and one examination day, which we are assuming will be on a Saturday.  The timetable is attached and there are some changes, so please check the days and times carefully in case any of these changes affect your child.

We hope that you all have a restful and, hopefully, sunny summer holiday and we look forward to seeing you again in the autumn.

Best wishes

Pat
